Dear Rutgers Community,

The President’s Task Force on Carbon Neutrality and Climate Resilience is pleased to release its Phase 2 Report: Current Status and Potential Solutions for a Carbon Neutral, Climate Resilient RutgersThis report includes analyses from the Climate Task Force’s seven working groups, a status update on our planning process, and a summary of the November 2020 virtual town hall meetings.

You can access the Climate Task Force Phase 2 report at:https://go.rutgers.edu/CTF_Phase2

During Phase 2, each working group generated a report assessing potential solutions along a number of different dimensions such as anticipated outcomes, implementation, evaluation, accountability, and equity. These individual reports were the foundation for the Task Force report and can be accessed at: https://climatetaskforce.rutgers.edu/reports/.

Engagement with the Rutgers community has been, and continues to be, an important part of this planning process and we are grateful to all of you who have taken the time to attend town halls meetings, comment on previous reports, and connect with us on social media.

We call on you once again to help us by providing feedback on the Phase 2 reports. Your comments will guide the Task Force as we begin work on Phase 3, where we will focus on setting goals and looking toward implementation.

There are two ways to let us know your thoughts:

Please submit your comments by Friday, March 5 at 5pm. The Rutgers Today story can be found at: https://www.rutgers.edu/news/climate-action-work-advances-rutgers.
