Happy Rutgers Day! Welcome to the RU Climate Task Force Scavenger Hunt! Though we wish we could meet you in person, this year we encourage you to get outside and learn some new things about our environment through an interactive scavenger hunt. And there’s perks: with your participation, you can earn the title of “Climate Steward” and be featured on the Climate Task Force website.

The President’s Task Force on Carbon Neutrality and Climate Resilience was initiated by President Barchi in 2019, charged with developing a comprehensive Climate Action Plan for the university, identifying both pathways to achieving carbon neutrality and ways to reduce the university’s vulnerability to climate impacts. You can check out the work of the Task Force on our website, read the reports, and look forward to the release of a final climate action plan, to be presented to President Holloway in 2021. None of this would be possible without the passion and imagination of the Rutgers community, including all of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Our scavenger hunt is suitable for all ages, though small children might need some guidance to complete tasks. Happy hunting and have a great Rutgers Day!
