“I am committing my life to civil service and as government administrators create the majority of rules and regulations in implementing legislation, I recognize the importance in maintaining a regard for the environment. Rutgers, if it is indeed revolutionary, should be at the forefront of this issue and lead as an example for other academic institutions. I wish there were more snow and it lasted longer on campus, and I wish it didn’t get so consistently hot leading me to sweat. These are minor inconveniences that are nothing compared to the pain to come caused by worsening storms, over-consumption, and water/air pollution. When I work in government, I hope to decrease waste and influence others to think about sustainability.”
